Ruth J. Weatherholtz

Ruth J. Weatherholtz, age 85, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 6:35pm at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Upper Sandusky.

Ruth was born on April 6, 1928 in Wharton, Ohio, to Robert B. and Desta L. (Robison) Rife, both of whom are deceased. She married Clarke "Cal" Weatherholtz on March 6, 1952 and he died on March 1, 1997.

She is survived by 4 children, Rick (Cheryl Thompson) Weatherholtz of Wharton, Sue (Steve) Seitz of Upper Sandusky, Ronald "Joe" (Ann) Weatherholtz of Wharton, and Teresa (John) Brodman of Upper Sandusky. Along with 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Ruth also has a brother Robert (Helen) Rife of Wharton and a sister, Mae Louise (Richard) Walton of Upper Sandusky.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a son, Randy Weatherholtz.

Ruth really liked being outside, whether it was gardening or mowing her yard. She also enjoyed crocheting and doing crafts, reading, and traveling with her husband, Cal, throughout the states.

Ruth's role at home as a wife, mom and in later years as a grandma was her greatest
passion in her life. She will be greatly missed by her family.

Funeral services for Ruth J. Weatherholtz will be held at 11:00am Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with Rev. Bill Williamson officiating. Burial will follow at Wharton, Richland, Union Cemetery.

Visitations will be on Friday, March 14, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
