Rosemary Bower, 86, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, died at 3:40 am Monday, August 6, 2007 at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.

Rosemary was born May 11, 1921 in Wyandot County, Ohio to Earl & Esther (Hummel) Smith and both are deceased. She married Harold Bower on September 14, 1946 and he survives. Also surviving is one son: Jerry of Marengo, Ohio; two grandchildren: Aaron and his wife Jamie, Bower of Chardon, Ohio & Derek Bower of Marengo; one sister: Betty Myers of Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Thomas Smith, Donald Smith and Robert Smith.

Rosemary was a 1939 graduate of Nevada High School. She was a homemaker and had worked before her marriage for Ruth's Meat Packing in Sandusky, Ohio and also at one time for Kimmel Cleaners in Upper Sandusky.

Rosemary was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Upper Sandusky, where she was a member of the Women's Guild and also played a part in the establishment of Camp Trinity and then
along with her husband Harold, were the first caretakers of the camp. For hobbies she enjoyed crocheting and sewing, flower gardening, canning and square dancing.

The funeral service for Rosemary will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, August 9 at the Lucas Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Burial will be held at the Grand Prairie Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Brad McKibben. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Wednesday also at the funeral home in Upper Sandusky. Memorials may be made to Trinity UCC and/or Wyandot Memorial Hospital and can be sent to Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 476 S. Sandusky, Ohio 43351
