Ronald L. Myers

Ronald L. Myers, age 88, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away at his home on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 11:38pm.

Ron was born on October 9, 1925 in Wyandot County, Ohio, to Roy and Leolia (Johns) Myers. He married Thelma Beamer on June 23, 1945 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, and she died on August 1, 2002.

He is survived by 2 sisters, Gertrude Snavely of Upper Sandusky, Katherine Parsell of Upper Sandusky, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and 2 sisters, Lillian Heffelfinger and Janis Kummerer, and a brother Raymond Myers.

Ron retired from Guardian Industries in Upper Sandusky. He also had worked for the former Claycraft Brickyard and A.O. Smith, both were located in Upper Sandusky. He was a member of the Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church in Upper Sandusky.

For hobbies, Ron enjoyed collecting and working on antique cars, reading books on history, working outside around the house, and spending time with his cat, Patches.

Funeral services for Ronald L. Myers will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with Rev. Jim Stauffer and Steve Sturgeon officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitations will be held on Tuesday, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
