Ronald E. Gongwer

Ronald E. Gongwer, age 51, of Harpster, Ohio and most recently has been a resident the past 4 years at the Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky, died Tuesday, September 30 at 4:22pm in the Emergency Room of Wyandot Memorial Hospital.

Ron was born on January 1, 1957 in Fort Polk, Louisiana to Paul & Jo Ann (Jury) Gongwer, who both are living in Harpster, Ohio.

Ron is also survived by a brother, Dale A. (Sue) Gongwer of Sycamore and 2 sisters, Terry A. (Robert) Gaietto of Sycamore and Patricia K. (Tim) Conrad of Harpster. He is also survived by nieces and nephews: Michael Gongwer, Jamie Gaietto, Payton Conrad and Cassidy Conrad.

He was preceded in death by a neice, Holly M. Gongwer.

Ron had worked part-time as a custodian through Angeline
School & Industries. He attended Sycamore Methodist Church and was a graduate of Mohawk High School.

He was a life member of the Vintage American Race Car Club, and for hobbies he enjoyed fishing, collecting model tractors, cars, and also model trains.

The past four years Ron has lived at Fairhaven, a place which became very dear to him through the staff and residents of that community.

Graveside services for Ronald E. Gongwer will be held at 11:00am Friday, October 3 at Grand Prairie Cemetery in Marion County. The Rev Mary Curtis will be officiating.
