Roger Wilson

Rev. James Roger Wilson, age 75, of Diamondale, Michigan, passed away on May 18, 2024 at the Daimondale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Roger was born on April 27, 1949 in Bucyrus, Ohio, to James A. and Kathryn C. (Green) Wilson, both of whom have passed away.

He is survived by his brothers, Michael Wilson of Nevada, and Dennis (Terri) Wilson of Sycamore.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Joseph Wilson.

Roger was a 1967 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and went on to receive his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Case Western Reserve.  He worked in the seventies for Case Hospital in their computer lab, before being called into the ministry, and becoming an ordained minister, serving the First Baptist Church in Leslie, Michigan, and also working for Family Life Radio in Mason, Michigan in later years, along with tutoring foreign exchange students, which he greatly enjoyed.

For hobbies, Roger was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time on his computer.

A memorial service for Roger Wilson will be held at 11:00am Friday, June 7, 2024 at the Emanuel United Church of Christ in Upper Sandusky with Pastor Jay Scott officiating.

Visitations will be held 2 hours before service time, from 9:00am to 11:00am, at Emanuel United Church of Christ in Upper Sandusky.
