Roger William Sears

Roger William Sears, 66 of Greene, New York, formerly of Tecumseh and Upper Sandusky, passed away on May 28, 2014 at Providence Park Hospital in Novi, Michigan.

He was born on February 7, 1948 in Wyandotte, Michigan the son of William and Constance (Freer) Sears, both of whom are deceased. He married Judith Smith on December 6, 1975 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio and she survives in Upper Sandusky.

Roger is survived by his sons Christopher (Samantha) Sears of Tecumseh, Nathan (Suzette) Sears of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Andrew Nutter of Upper Sandusky. Six grandchildren and 3 brothers Rodney (Jeane) Sears of Tecumseh, Thomas (Diane) Sears of Oxford, MI and Scott (Melinda) Sears of Bowling Green, KY; and many nieces and nephews.

Roger was raised in Tecumseh and graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1966. Roger worked for over 35 years as an engineer, having helped develop the Guardian Industries Upper Sandusky location during its inception and then worked there for 10 years. He later worked as a Kitchen Designer for Lowe's.

He was an avid movie buff and loved technology. Roger enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with his family and will be greatly missed.

A graveside service for Roger W. Sears will be held at 11:30am, November 21, 2014 at the Old Mission Cemetery, located on the corner of East Church St. and N. Fifth St. in Upper Sandusky. The Rev. Brian Arnold will be officiating.

Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky are handling the local arrangements.
