Roger A. Blankenship

December 31, 1944 — January 9, 2015

Roger Allen Blankenship, 70, of Bucyrus, Ohio went home to be with Jesus on January 9, 2015 after a brief illness.

Roger was born December 31,1944 to the late John Richard and Eunice (Craig) Blankenship. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 38 years Patricia Bledsoe Blankenship.

He is survived by seven children, Tiffany Blankenship, Emily Blankenship, Heidi Hook, Ginger Blankenship, Dawn Speakman, Kevin Blankenship and Roger Blankenship, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild, and his loving brother, John Richard Blankenship of Prescott, Arizona.

Roger was employed with Eaton Corporation of Marion, Ohio for 42 years as a crane operator. He was also an Auxiliary Deputy Sheriff for Union and Marion county and owner of Roger's Coin shop in Marion, Ohio.

Roger was a man with a wealth of selflessness, who loved his friends and family dearly. He adored his Grandson Talmadge, and was an advocate in supporting autism awareness. Roger enjoyed playing pool, had an endless love for animals and was a lifetime member of the national gun association. He attended Bucyrus Freewill Baptist Church where he loved all his church family there. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He was a kind, selfless person who didn't want people to mourn his death, thus it was his request for no funeral services.

Memorial donations can be made to the Family of Roger Blankenship and can be sent to Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 476 S Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351.
