Robert "Bob" R. Miller, Jr

Robert "Bob" R. Miller, Jr. of Oceola, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2013.

Bob was born on June 15, 1947 in Bucyrus, Ohio, to Robert R. and Nellie M. (Baker) Miller, both of whom are deceased. He is survived by his wife of 31 years Nancy and his 2 children, Heather and Ben (Lyndsee) Miller, and his grandson Kaleb Miller.

He is also survived by 2 sisters, Judy Holzmiller of Oceola, and Karen (Nevin) Stover of Sycamore. And many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Walt and Roger Miller, and a brother in law, Adam Holzmiller.

Bob was retired from Swan Rubber where he had worked for 16 years as a machine operator. He was a graduate of the 1965 class of Wynford High School and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Oceola United Methodist Church.

For hobbies, he enjoyed fishing with his cousin Dale and the guys. Doing jigsaw and word puzzles, bowling, doing woodworking, going to car shows and drag races. Bob also liked to be outside, whether it was working in the yard or just enjoying the sunset and hanging out at the Station with the guys.

A funeral service celebrating Bob's life will be held at 3:00pm, Monday, December 9, 2013 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Nevada. Burial will follow at Oceola Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted.

Visitations will be held from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Monday at the funeral home and the family would like you to be comfortable in your casual attire for the day of services.
