Robert E. "Long Ball" Rall

Robert E. "Long Ball" Rall,  age 87, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at his home in Upper Sandusky.

He was born on July 7, 1935 in Upper Sandusky to Francis and Isabell (Vogel) Rall, both of whom are deceased.  Rob married Peggy Jean Steiner on October 20, 1954 at St. Peter's Catholic Church and she survives.

Rob is survived by his children, Valerie (Don) Schwenning of Upper Sandusky, Mitch (Patty) Rall of Upper Sandusky, Tracy (Julie) Rall of Findlay, and Derek (Mary) Rall of Upper Sandusky; 9 grandchildren, Megan (Oscar) Leiva, Jill Schwenning, Tyler (Beverly) Schwenning, Faith Schwenning, Mike (Kristin) Rall, Brittany (David) Gockley, Brandon Rall, Jeremy Rall, and Sarah (Michael) Bruce, along with 13 great grandchildren, Obed, Ezra, and Judah Leiva, Sam and Storme Maiorano, Eve Dean, Ethan and Everett Schwenning, Josiah Rall, Leah and Daniel Gockley, and Katie and Kendrick Bruce.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother John Rall and 2 sisters, Dorothy Tillett and Alice Smith.

Rob graduated from Upper Sandusky High School, class of 1953, and went on to work at the U.S. Commission Company for 31 years, and then went on to serve as the custodian at St. Peter's School for 10 years.

He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Church in Upper Sandusky.

A Celebration of Life Service for Robert E. Rall will be held at 11:00 am Monday, March 20, at Trinity Evangelical with Rev. Jim Stauffer officiating.  Following the service, the family will receive guests.

It was Rob's wish to donate his body to The Ohio State University for Medical Education and Research.
