Robert C. Gottfried

Robert "Robbie" C. Gottfried, age 28, died on Thursday, August 28, 2008 in Bucyrus, Ohio.

Robbie was born on October 5, 1979 in Bucyrus, Ohio to Robert Britt of Ft. Wayne, IN and Rebecca "Becky" (Dunlap) Gottfried, widow of Mark Gottfried, who is living in Bucyrus, along with his maternal grandmother Ruth Dunlap and the late Clarence Dunlap of Bloomville and paternal grandmother, Dorothy Gottfried of Melmore.

He married Jamie Kiess and she survives in Bucyrus.

Robbie is also survived by a daughter Morgan Gottfried, who he adored, and his sisters: Heidi and her husband Steve, Kauffman of Columbus and their children, Victoria, Hunter, Jessica and Erica; Heather Gottfried of Columbus and her daughter Corynne Raney; and Holly and her husband Ryan, Motil of Bloomville and their children, Samantha, Mark, Peter, Matthew and David; Michelle Tobon of Fort Lauderdale, FL and her daughter Megan Fox; Kelly and her husband Christopher, Park of Amherst, OH and their sons Kyle and Josh ; Heather and her husband Mike, Martinez of Port Clinton,OH and their children Austin, Jaxon and Mackenzie.

He is also survived by his godparents, Charles & Carol Gillespie, Bucyrus, OH and the following aunts and uncles: Sherry & Bill Cover, Nevada, OH;Chris & Tess Dunlap, Indianapolis, IN; Dawn & Rick Stuckert, Bucyrus, OH; Dave & Virginia Fadley, Wharton, OH; Carl & Coletta McCue, Tiffin, OH; Stan & Joyce Brown, Tiffin, OH;
Dennis & Robin Gottfried, Sycamore, OH; Mike & Jan Aken, Sandusky, OH
along with many cousins.

Robbie was a member of the Class of 1998 in Wynford and also had attended Ridgedale Schools. He attended Potter's House in Bucyrus and for hobbies he enjoyed playing the guitar and piano, singing karaoke and writing songs. Robbie was an avid Cleveland Browns and Michigan Wolverine fan and loved
spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Robbie Gottfried will be held at 7:00pm Thursday, September 4, at the Victory in Truth Ministries, 485 St. Rt. 4, Bucyrus. Officiating the services will be Pastor J.C. Church, Pastor Adam Lake and Minister Rohan Anderson.


Visitations will be held on Thursday from 12:00pm to 2:00pm and 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Victory in Truth Ministries.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00am Friday, September 5, at Rock Creek Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Robbie Gottfried Memorial Fund. Online condolences can be sent to lucasbatton.com. Lucas-Batton Funeral Homes are in charge of the arrangements.
