Robert D. Cover

Robert D. Cover, age 68, of Upper Sandusky and formerly of Sycamore, Ohio passed away Friday, January 29, at 6:15pm in the Intensive Care Unit of Bucyrus Community Hospital in Bucyrus.

Bob was born in Bucyrus Hospital on April 1, 1941 to Alvin D. Cover, who is deceased and Leahbelle (Beard) Miller, who is living in Tiffin, Ohio. He is also survived by his step mother, Marvel Cover of Bucyrus, Ohio.

Bob married Mary Bare, and she died November 12, 2009.

He is survived by his 4 children, Jackie Morrison of Columbus Ohio, Tonya (Todd) Reed of Oregon, Ohio, Chris (Nicole) Cover of Tiffin, Ohio, and Nicole Cover of Sycamore, Ohio, eight grandchildren Cameran, Skylar, and Zane Cover, Jessica(Brian)Mathes, Katie, Jaris, and Samuel Morrison, and Matthew and Darren Reed,and a step great grandson,Quinton Mathes. Bob is survived by a stepson Steve (Heather) Bare of Upper Sandusky, Ohio two step grandchildren Brennan and Alexis Bare of Upper Sandusky, Ohio.

Bob also is survived by half brothers, Norman(Cathy) Miller of Lykens, Joel Miller of Tiffin and Bruce Cover of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, along with half sister Barb(Bruce) Heinlen of Galion, Ohio, and step sisters, Bonnie (George) Rhoad of Tiffin, Betty (Dick) Beidelschies of Grand Junction, Colorado.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, stepfather Wayne Miller, and wife Mary.

Bob had just recently worked at Advance Auto in Upper Sandusky, before that he had worked at a variety of places,such as Gary's Equipment, Job 1 Security, Checkmate Boats, and Wyandot Tractor, and also enjoyed farming throughout the years.

He was a member of Community Christian Center in Upper Sandusky. He was a former member of the Odd Fellows in Melmore and the Sycamore Grasshoppers Vintage Baseball Team.

For hobbies he enjoyed fishing, camping, collecting and fixing toy tractors.

Funeral services for Robert D. Cover will be held on Wednesday at 10:00am at the Community Christian Church in Upper Sandusky with the Rev. Bill Williamson officiating. Burial with graveside services will be held at Pleasant View Cemetery at a later date.

Visitations will be Tuesday, from 2:00pm to 7:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky and 1 hour before service at the church on Wednesday.
