Richard F. Newell

Richard F. Newell, age 79 of Upper Sandusky, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 6:10pm at his home in Upper Sandusky.

Richard was born on August 11, 1941 in Norwalk, Ohio to O. Frederick and Gladys M. (Iams) Newell, both of whom are deceased. He married Janis Swinehart on April 20, 1977 and they later divorced.

He is survived by his daughter Lindsey (Matthew) Rindfuss of Bucyrus, Ohio, and granddaughter Eva Rindfuss.  Along with his sister Norita Anderson of Leesburg, Florida.

Richard graduated from Upper Sandusky High School and attended Tiffin University.  He was a veteran of the US Army.

He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Upper Sandusky and served the church throughout the years in many different capacities.

Richard was a former member of the Moose Lodge #1093, American Legion Post #225, Elks #83 where he served as a "tiler" for many years.

For hobbies he enjoyed biking, following sports and going to auctions.

Richard will be missed and always remembered for helping his neighbors, and anyone who ever needed anything. He was a kind hearted man, and he will always be known for that.

A Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date.
