Richard C. "Dick" Soule

Richard C. "Dick" Soule, age 89, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio passed away
on Monday, February 13, 2012 at 6:35pm at the Fairhaven Retirement and Healthcare Community in Upper Sandusky.

Dick was born on February 23, 1922 in New Bloomington, Ohio to Richard M. and Charlotte L. (Clixby) both of whom are deceased. He was first married to Vera Taylor and she is deceased. Dick then married Yvonne (Bleam) Soule on January 23, 1972 at the First Lutheran Church and she survives in Upper Sandusky.

He was also survived by a son, R. Jerry (Stephy) Soule of Forest, Ohio and a daughter, Jean Ellen (Ron) Grove of Jacksonville, Florida and a step daughter Amy (Danny) Mitchell of Upper Sandusky, two granddaughters, Dawn (Mark) McQuown and Jodi (Walt) Stuermer, and a step granddaughter Andrea Fairchild, 5 great grandchildren, and 3 step great grandchildren, a sister in law, Mrs. Leo (Frances) Larick of Harpster, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Henrietta Parsell and Juanita Kirby.

Dick graduated from Meeker High School and then went on to work for many years for the former Tri-County Lime and Stone. He also farmed and was a Marseilles Township Trustee for many years.

Dick was a member of the Indian Mill Antique Association, he enjoyed reading - especially on tractors, working on and restoring antique tractors. He loved all kinds of animals, and was one to really enjoy getting together with family and friends.

Funeral services for Dick Soule will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with the Rev. Jim Stauffer officiating the services. Burial will follow at the Chandler Cemetery .

Visitations will be held on Friday, February 17, 2012 from 4pm - 7pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
