Rhonda LaRoche Elwood, age 52, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 3:15am at her home in Upper Sandusky.
She was born on September 8, 1962 in Kenton, Ohio to Larry LaRoche and Donna (Worst) Plaugher. Rhonda is survived by her mother Donna Plaugher of Dunkirk, Ohio, and her father Larry LaRoche preceded her in death.
She is also survived by a daughter, Jessica (Roger) Hetzel of Bucyrus, a son Daniel (Vicky) Elwood of Salem, Ohio, and a grandson Ryker Hetzel. Along with a brother Ron (Wendy) LaRoche of Kenton and 2 nephews, Lukas and Linkoln LaRoche, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father and a step father, Joe Plaugher.
Rhonda was a homemaker and a member of the First Brethren Church in Williamstown, Ohio, and upon moving to Upper Sandusky, attended St. Paul Lutheran Church in Upper Sandusky.
For hobbies, Rhonda loved to shop and enjoyed antiquing with her family and friends, along with gardening and landscaping and just working outside around the house.
She will be remembered for the many lives that she touched in her 52 years here on earth, as she served with love as a wonderful loving mom, grandma and friend. She will be greatly missed.
Funeral services for Rhonda Elwood will be held at 10:30am Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Upper Sandusky with Rev. Joe Trester and Courtney Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Dunkirk Cemetery, Dunkirk, Ohio.
Visitations will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 from 4pm to 8pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky and 1 hour before service time at the church on Tuesday.
