Rebecca R. Secoy

Rebecca R. Secoy, age 80, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio passed away at 3:00AM on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at her home in Upper Sandusky.

Becky was born on May 12, 1932 in Wyandot County, Ohio to W. Ralph and Gladys M. (Smith) Amert both of whom are deceased. She married Maurice Secoy on October 16, 1954 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Upper Sandusky and he is deceased.

She is survived by two daughters, Michelle (Ed) Krestancic of Scottsdale, Arizona and Susan (Dan) Secoy-Jensen of Orange, California, one grandson Jeffrey Krestancic of Ft. Myers, Florida and a great grandson Ethan Krestancic.

Also surviving Becky is a brother John (Teresa) Amert of Upper Sandusky, and a sister Kathleen (Harry) Graham of Canal Winchester, Ohio.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother Bill and two sisters Audrey and Barbara.

Rebecca graduated from Eden High School in 1950 and went on to attend Bowling Green State University. Rebecca was a homemaker and for hobbies she enjoyed flower gardening, playing pinochle or euchre with family and friends, and watching basketball, especially the Cleveland Cavaliers or the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Most of all Becky cherished her time with her family and considered all of them to be the greatest joy and blessing of her life.

A Memorial Service Celebrating the Life of Rebecca R. Secoy will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, June 23 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with Rev. Jim Stauffer officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the services at the funeral home.
