Rebecca "Becky" S. Spitler, age 60, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2013, at 2:30pm at the Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky surrounded by her family.
Becky was born on July 22, 1953 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio and is survived by her mother, Marca (Bleam) Rall of Upper Sandusky and father, Thomas (Jean) Rall of Nevada. She then married John Spitler and he survives in Upper Sandusky.
She is survived by a daughter, Nanette( Kurt Hronek) Caudill of New Riegel, Ohio, and 2 step sons, Lee Spitler of Upper Sandusky and Bob (Dawn) Spitler of Tiffin, Ohio, and 4 grandchildren Traci, Tatelynn, Tailor and Takayla Carter, and 4 step grandchildren, Bailey and Camden Spitler, and Blake and Brayden Spitler, along with 2 great grandchildren, Adabell and Caliber.
Becky is survived by a brother, Dan J. (Tina) Rall of Upper Sandusky, a half brother, Jeff (Laura) Rall of Bucyrus, Ohio, a step sister, Karen (Bob) Daley of Columbus Station, Ohio, mother in law Marilyn Spitler of Upper Sandusky, a sister in laws, Janis (Henry) Booze and Jill Rall, both of Upper Sandusky, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a step sister, Sharon Veith, and a father in law, Robert Spitler.
Becky worked at the Handy Twine Knife and for the Tschantz Family in later years. Before that she had worked for 28 years at the Fairhaven Community as a nurse's aid and in housekeeping.
She attended the former Rock Run Church of God in Upper Sandusky. And for hobbies, Becky enjoyed raising her flowers, crocheting, oil painting, caring for horses, taking rides to Amish country and trail riding on horseback at Mohican. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with John and her grandchildren.
Funeral services for Becky Spitler will be held at 11:00am, Monday, December 30, 2013 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with Rev. Norman Folk officiating. Burial will follow at Old Mission Cemetery in Upper Sandusky.
Visitations will be held on Sunday, December 29, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
