Randy Howard Jacob, a cherished soul known for his inventive spirit and compassionate heart, unexpectedly passed away on February 6, 2024, at his home in Upper Sandusky. Born to Marilyn (Holden) and Dean Jacob on May 29, 1965, Randy was a beacon of ingenuity and kindness throughout his 58 years.
Randy's early life laid a strong foundation for a man deeply connected to his roots. He graduated from Teays Valley High School in 1983 and went on to pursue his passion for computers, earning an associate degree from Columbus State. He was currently working with Hewlett Packard DXC Technology, along with being the co-owner with his wife, Stephanie, of Whole Life Fitness.
On May 12, 2007, Randy married his beloved Stephanie Ann Roys, a union that blossomed with love and partnership.
His love for the Lord lead him to become an Ordained Minister and member of Trinity Evangelical Church, where he was very active on committees, such as The Great Banquet ministry, teaching Sunday School, speaking at area churches, and helping with computer needs. He also served with The Salvation Army and Wyandot County Historical Society.
Randy was preceded in death by his mother Marilyn, twin brother and sister, Jack and Jill and his nephew, Mason Roese. Besides his wife, Stephanie, he is survived by father, Dean Jacob, brother, Jeff (Alison) Jacob of Lockbourne, three sisters, Traci (Dan) Zeimer of Ashville, Trudi (Eric) Crabtree of Circleville, Teri (Shane) Roese of Ashville, Mother and Father-In-Law, Angela and Verne Roys, sister in law, Shirley (John), Brother In Law, Anthony (Michelle) all from Indiana, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitations for Randy will be held on Sunday, February 11, from 2:00 to 6:00pm, at Trinity Evangelical Church, 108 Malabar Dr., Upper Sandusky, and 1 hour before service time on Monday.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 12 at 11:00am, at Trinity Evangelical Church with Rev. Jim Stauffer, and Steve Sturgeon officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Evangelical, Wyandot County Historical Society, or the Salvation Army, and can be sent to Lucas Batton Funeral Home, 476 S. Sandusky Ave., Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351
Randy's life was a testament to the power of love, the strength of family, and the impact one person can have on the world around them. He will be deeply missed, but the memories he created will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew him.
