Ralph R. Manko

Ralph R. Manko, age 95, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025 at his home in Upper Sandusky.

Ralph was born on February 2, 1930 in Kingswood, West Virginia, to John and Hester (Gribble) Manko, both of whom are deceased.  He married Bertha E. Hurd on January 12, 1950, and she survives in Upper Sandusky.

He is also survived by his children, Richard Manko of Upper Sandusky, and Connie (Bill) Affholder of Fostoria. 3 grandchildren, Melissa (Shane) Bocock, David (Becky) Vogel, and Anna Affholder, along with 8 great grandchildren.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Patricia Ann Vogel, 4 brothers, Lawrence, Lewis, Glenn and Junior, and a sister, Elizabeth Lowdermilk.

Ralph retired after many years from the former RCA – Harris Corporation in Findlay, serving as a millwright journeyman.  After retiring from RCA, he also worked maintenance at Riddlehaven in Upper Sandusky, along with owning and operating Wyandot Canoe Livery from 1981 to 2000.

He was a veteran of the US Army having served in the Korean War.

Ralph was a member since 1964 of Trinity Evangelical Church in Upper Sandusky.

For hobbies, Ralph enjoyed hunting and fishing, woodworking, and gardening.

He will be remembered for his love for his wife of 75 years, his tender heart for others, both family and friends, along with his willingness to patiently teach others various things.  He will be greatly missed.

Memorial services for Ralph R. Manko will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at the Trinity Evangelical Church in Upper Sandusky with Rev Jim Stauffer officiating.  Following services, military rites will be conducted at the church by the Upper Sandusky Honor Guard.

Visitations will be held 2 hours before service time, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Trinity Evangelical.
