Priscilla A. Weatherholtz of Upper Sandusky, Ohio and Fort Myers, Florida, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 9:12pm at The Inn at Westbrook in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. She was 84.
Mrs. Weatherholtz was born on June 7, 1925 in Nevada, Ohio to Richard K. and Idel (Blair) Wilson. Her parents and step-father Otto "Cap" Wyss preceeded her in death. She married Ralph William Frost in 1943 and later divorced. She then married H. LaVerne Weatherholtz in 1955 and LaVerne passed away on December 19, 2008.
Priscilla is survived by two children, Charles Frost of Sebring, Florida, and Carolyn (Eric) Peterson of Portland, Oregon. There are four grandchildren who also survive, Andrew and Teresa Frost, and Wendy Juden and Thomas Peterson and 2 great grandchildren, Lita Rose Frost and Zander William Frost.
Mrs. Weatherholtz lived in Sandusky for 25 years and was employed at Sears as an office supervisor before retiring. Her hobbies were reading, crossword puzzles and playing cards. Before her illness she enjoyed ballroom dancing and taught line dancing for ten years in Fort Myers, Cape Coral and Upper Sandusky. She had also been an avid shuffleboard player and played the keyboard for many Fort Myers entertainments and participated in the staging of those events.
Graveside services for both Priscilla Weatherholtz and her late husband La Verne Weatherholtz will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 10:00am at the Nevada Cemetery in Nevada, Ohio with the Rev. Jackie Underhill officiating the service. There will also be a military graveside rite conducted by the Upper Sandusky Veterans Color Guard at the cemetery honoring LaVerne's service to his country.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Wyandot County of the Upper Sandusky Community Library in care of Lucas-Batton Funeral Home 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351.
