Phyllis K. Walter, age 83, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025 at the Willows at Tiffin, Ohio.
Phyllis was born on December 15,1941, in Carey, Ohio, to Howard and Celestia (Clinger) Taylor, both of whom are deceased. She was married to Lynn Walter on August 12, 1962, and he passed away on March 15, 2003.
She is survived by 3 sons: Larry (Dusti) Walter of Arlington, Darren Walter, and Nathan (Joan) Walter, both of Upper Sandusky. A brother, Junior (Sharon) Taylor of Ridgeway, Ohio, and 2 specials nieces, Sandy and Donna Taylor, both of Upper Sandusky.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Brian Walter, four brothers, Russell (Ruth), Ray, Paul and Donald (Helen) Taylor and 7 sisters, Gladys (Howard) Beck, Joan Taylor, Evelyn White, Jane (Jim) Beidelschies, Margaret (Nelson) Hewett, Jeanette (Guy) Tooley, Carolyn (Eugene) Swinehart, and Jean (Richard) Reinhart.
Phyllis retired after many years from U-Brand Industries, of Upper Sandusky.
She was a member for many years of the Upper Sandusky Church of the Nazarene. For hobbies, Phyllis enjoyed raising flowers, reading, and taking day trips with the Wyandot County Council on Aging, and sitting on her front porch and watching the traffic.
Funeral services for Phyllis Walter will be held at 1:00pm Friday, August 22, at the Lucas Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with Rev. Steve Anstine. Burial will follow
at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitations will be on Friday, from 11:00am to 1:00pm, at the Lucas Batton Funeral Home.
