Phyllis A. Merwine-Myers-Ross, age 78, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at her home in Upper Sandusky.
Phyllis was born on April 22, 1944, in Harpster, Ohio, to Ralph and Raynie (Edwards) Merwine and they preceded her in death. She was once married to Tom Myers and was then married to Frank Ross Jr. and he preceded her in death on April 30, 2021.
Phyllis is survived by her 4 children: Robert (Chris) Myers of Nevada, Debra Simmons, Kevin (Lynn) Myers, and Roger (Tracie) Myers, all of Upper Sandusky, as well as 15 grandchildren, and 38 great grandchildren.
Phyllis was also preceded in death by her son in law Billy Simmons, and her 2 brothers, Jack and Robert Merwine.
Phyllis grew up in Harpster where she attended school, and graduated from Upper Sandusky High School. She worked for U-Brand for 21 years, and also worked in the kitchen at Carolyn's Kitchen for many years until she finally retired.
Phyllis attended Upper Nazarene Church with her husband Frank when she was able. She enjoyed baking and cooking and she was famous for her 30 day fruit cake. She enjoyed going to bingo, going out to lunch with her special friend Brenda Dyer, and she especially loved spending time with her grandkids.
A funeral service for Phyllis Ross will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 5, 2022, at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, and will be officiated by Rev. Eric Anderson.
Visitations will be held from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the funeral home on Monday, prior to the service.
