Peter Michael Parsell

Peter Michael Parsell, age 62, of Upper Sandusky passed away in
his home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio on July 22, 2010.

Peter was born in Bucyrus, Ohio on March 14, 1948 to Vernon L. and Aletha (Kauble) Parsell. After the death of his father, his mother Aletha married Vernon Passet, both of whom are now deceased.
Peter was married to Patricia Walters and they were divorced.

He is survived by a daughter Melissa Butler of Marion, Ohio and 2 grandchildren, Brittany and Brandy Butler. Also surviving are 2 brothers, Stephan (Jane) Parsell of Upper Sandusky, and Ivan (Shirley) Parsell of Carroll, Ohio, along with four half brothers, Lawrence (Cheryl) Passet, David (Kimberly) Passet, Douglas Passet and Dale Passet all of Wharton, Ohio.

Peter retired from Mills Metal in Upper Sandusky after many years. He was a U.S Army Veteran having served in Korea. He was a former member of the Wharton 1st Church of God, and a former member of the VFW Post #2842 in Upper Sandusky. For hobbies Peter enjoyed raising apples and strawberries, gardening, going to flea markets, and going to the cornhusker's festival.

A Memorial Service for Peter M. Parsell will be held at 11:00am Thursday, August 5, 2010 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with Rev. Jim Stauffer officiating. Burial will follow at York Street Cemetery in rural Upper Sandusky where full military graveside rites will be conducted by the Upper Sandusky Veterans Color Guard.

Visitations will be held 1 hour before service time at the funeral
