Agnes Louise "Peg" McAllister, 93, of Upper Sandusky, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Upper Sandusky.

Peg was born on March 10, 1930, In Wyandot County, Ohio, to Darrel Wayne and Mary Catherine (Gibson) Hankins. She married Vernon Dean McAllister on October 15, 1948, at the John Stewart Methodist Church and he passed away on April 18, 1985.

She is survived by her daughter Vicki (Van) Orians, and grandchildren, Amy (Mark) Miner, Shane (Erica) Orians, Adam (Christina) Soistman, great grandchildren, Justin (Isabel) Miner, Ethan Miner, Molly Orians, and Ross Orians. Survived also by son-in-law, Joe Soistman, many loving nieces, nephews, and family soulmate, Connie Koebel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughters, Nannette Marie Soistman, and Jennifer Kay McAllister, a brother and sister-in-law, Rex and Norma Jean Hankins, brother-in-law, Owen Merle McAllister and her platonic partner William Weaver.

Peg was raised on a dairy, livestock, and grain farm, and spent her early school years at Mifflin School, and then graduated from Upper Sandusky High School in 1948.

She was a homemaker, worked for Judge Lauren Schoenberger in the county court system and as matron with the Wyandot County Sheriff's Department for 16 years. With Dean for 10 years, they co-owned and managed Parkway Mobile Home Village in Upper Sandusky. Peg retired with Dean in 1984 to Bonita Springs, Florida, where they enjoyed 3 months until Dean passed. After such a life change new relationships blossomed, most importantly William Weaver, with whom she spent a dynamic decade of traveling and enjoying times spent with her Soistman family and Bill's Canadian Weaver family.

A Family Celebration of Life for Peg McAllister will be planned for a later date.
