Pauline Swavel, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Vancrest of Upper Sandusky.
Pauline was born on January 26, 1950, in Bucyrus, Ohio, to David Charles and Della Devere (Rook) Homier. Pauline was married to Paul L. Swavel, and he preceded her in death on September 7, 2002.
Pauline is survived by her sons, Cy Swavel, of Upper Sandusky, Lee (Terry) Brewington of Mansfield, grandchildren Levi Swavel, Zachary Brewington, and Alexa (Brewington) Kamenik, sister Luella (Larry) Myers of Bucyrus, and close friends Mary Lou Schieffer and Mary and Barry Wines.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Maryann Boyce.
Pauline was a homemaker for many years, owner and operator of the Red Apple restaurant in Bucyrus in the 80s with her husband, Paul. In her later years, Pauline worked at M-Tek in Upper Sandusky.
Pauline attended Our Lady of Consolation in Carey, Ohio, for many years, former member of the Crawford County Coon Hunters Association, where she ran the kitchen. Pauline loved her animals and watching wildlife. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed canning vegetables, and going to auctions or garage sales where she would look for treasures. Pauline especially loved spending time with her grandson Levi.
She was a kind, sweet soul who knew no stranger.
Services for Pauline will be private, with burial at St. Bernard Cemetery in New Washington.
