Paul A. Yeater

Paul A. Yeater, age 86, of Upper Sandusky, died March 5, 2008 at 5:15a.m. at his home.

Paul was born on March 5, 1922 in Wharton, Ohio to Mohler and Ruth (Enders) Yeater both of whom are deceased. He then married Gladys (Heffelfinger) on November 13, 1943 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio and she survives.

He is survived by 3 sons: Robert L. Yeater of McCutchenville, Ohio, Don Yeater of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, and David A. Yeater of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, along with 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Two sisters survive: Virginia Troiano of Tiffin and Hazel Bakies of Carey.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, 1 great grandchild, 4 brothers:
Jay, Irvin, John, Harry and 2 sisters: Alice Rose and Pearl Myers.

Paul was the owner and operator of Yeater's Laundry and Dry Cleaning in Upper Sandusky since 1961 retiring after 25 years. Before that he worked for Lite Star Oil as a rural delivery man.

Paul graduated from Salem High School in 1940 and then went on to serve his country in World War 11 with the US Army in the 191st Chemical Division.

He was a member Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church in Upper Sandusky, VFW Post #2842 and the American Legion Post #250 and former
member of the Amvets #777 all in Upper Sandusky. He also was a former member of the Wyandot County Rod and Gun Club. For hobbies Paul enjoyed going to Canada and fishing.

Funeral services for Paul A. Yeater will be 1:30pm Saturday March 8, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with burial at Old Mission Cemetery in Upper Sandusky with full military graveside rites to be conducted by the various service organizations. The Rev. Stephen Huebscher will be officiating the service.

Visitations will be Friday, March 7 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
