Patty A. Messmer

Patty A. Messmer, age 85, of Upper Sandusky, passed away at 9:23 AM on Friday, August 4, 2023, at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Upper Sandusky.

Patty was born in Marion, on October 24, 1937, to James and Bernice (Frost) Bender. Patty was married to Harold E. Messmer on March 4, 1953, in Auburn, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on May 2, 2010.

Patty is survived by her 2 sons, Mark (Candy) Messmer of Upper Sandusky, and Todd (Michelle) Messmer of Bucyrus, her granddaughter Hannah Messmer of Bucyrus, her brother Richard Bender of Delaware, and her sister Jane Meadows of Texas.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold, 2 brothers Howard Jones, and James Bender, and her sister Nancy Kiser.

Patty attended Marion Harding High School, worked at Westinghouse in Upper Sandusky, she owned and operated Wyco with her husband Harold for several years, and she also had her own cleaning service for several years.

For hobbies, Patty enjoyed crocheting, tending to her flowers and vegetable garden, and cooking.

Services for Patty Messmer will be private.
