Patsy Lee Smith

Patsy Lee Smith, age 69, of Forest, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, May 06, 2014 at 9:40am at her home in Forest.

She was born on July 1, 1944 in Bucyrus, Ohio, to Samuel and A. Bernadine (Johns) Swartz. She married Robert D. Smith on December 15, 1972 and he survives.

Patsy is survived by 10 children; John Brady of Deming's, New Mexico, James (Brenda) Brady of Oceola, Ohio, Jackie (James) Robinette of Forest, Juanita (Dan) Johnson of Bucyrus, Jeanette (Larry) Ralph of Green camp, Ohio, Jean (Steve) Grasley of Clyde, Ohio, Jeff (Connie) Brady of Forest, Bobbi (Steve) Ramey of Forest, Leslie (Eugene) Foreman of Forest and Angel (Luis) Diaz of Kenton. Along with 29 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren.

She is also survived by 2 brothers, Robert (Linda) Swartz of North Carolina, Kenny (Fran) Swartz of Upper Sandusky, and 3 sisters, Mabel Grimes of Marion, Marilynn Harris of Marion, and Florence Owens of Rutledge, Alabama.

Patsy was preceded in death by 6 brothers, Arnold, Harold, Cloyd, James, Boyd and Clifford Swartz and 2 sisters, Wilda Grimes and Clara Tharp.

Patsy was a homemaker and had worked as a nurse's aide at the Fairview Manor and Marion Manor and also did home care for individuals in need.

She attended Upper Sandusky Schools and for hobbies she enjoyed cooking, going to yard sales and spending time with her family.

Funeral services for Patsy Lee Smith will be held at 11:00am Friday, May 9, 2014 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with the Rev. Carl Angel officiating. Burial will follow at Oceola Cemetery.

Visitations will be held on Thursday, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
