Patsy Ann Hogan

Patsy Ann Hogan, age 85, of Harpster, Ohio, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 5:54pm at Emergency Room of Wyandot Memorial Hospital in Upper Sandusky.

Patsy was born on November 27, 1931 in Kenton, Ohio.  She was the daughter of the late Dale "Shorty" and Vera (McCleary) Hogan.

She is survived by her brother Emerson Jr. (Phyllis) Hogan of Charlotte, Michigan, 3 half brothers: James L. (Diane) Hogan, Thomas C. (Star) Hogan, Paul Scott Hogan, all of Upper Sandusky. Along with her friend and caretaker for the last several years, Sharon Burns of Harpster.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Mary Lou Hogan, and a step brother Paul E. Hogan.

She was best remembered for her work as a receptionist at the Castanien Insurance Company in Upper Sandusky.  She then went on to work as a receptionist for Marion General Hospital where she retired after 20 years.

Patsy was a long time member of the Harpster United Methodist Church, Harpster, Ohio.

Patsy loved her cats and regularly enjoyed the wildlife that Killdeer Plains had to offer, especially the deer.  In her earlier years, she had the uncanny ability to find 4leaf clovers in her yard, which she would give to family and friends for "good luck".  It was said, that

Patsy and her mother were quite proficient with their rifles when hunting squirrels.

She enjoyed attended all family gatherings and blessed us all with her famous macaroni salad, lemon pies, along with her infectious laugh.  She will be greatly missed.

Funeral services for Patsy Ann Hogan will be held at 12:00pm, Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, Rev. Soo-Hea Park officiating.

Visitations will be held 2 hours before service time, from 10:00am to 12:00pm, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
