Paticia Ann Stone

Patricia Ann Stone, age 64, of Bucyrus, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Patricia was born on January 3, 1961, in Lewis County, Kentucky to Ray and Carlon (Stone) Hurst, both of whom are deceased.  She was once married to John VanScoder, Sr.

She is survived by her children: Katherine (Alycia Skidmore) of Carey, Thomas Ray (Stephanie) VanScoder of Bucyrus, Jessica VanScoder of Bloomville, John VanScoder Jr., of Bucyrus, along with 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Patricia is also survived by her siblings: Tony (Kim) Stapleton of Blanchester, Lynda (Doug) Cole of Bucyrus, Mike Hurst of Nevada, Ginny Cole of Nevada, Tim (Angel) Hurst of Nevada, Melissa (Shawn Green) King of Bucyrus, Rodney (Teresa) Hurst of Nevada, Tina (Justin)Hurst of Delaware, and Lacey Massey of Nevada.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 children: James, Phillip and Bobbi Jo VanScoder, Elizabeth McClain, and siblings, Kenneth, Glenn and Lynn, who died in infancy, Randy Hurst, and Rebecca Smith.

Patricia was a homemaker, and did caregiving through the years.  She was a member of the Oceola Pentecostal Tabernacle Church.  For hobbies she enjoyed reading, crocheting, sewing blankets, listening to music, crafts, and going to garage sales and flea markets.

Her greatest love was for her family, of whom she lived for.

There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering for Patricia Stone Thursday, June 5, 2025, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, at Camp Michael, which is located at 1741 Shupp Rd., Bucyrus.
