Onecimo Ayala Villegas

Onecimo Ayala Villegas, age 72, of Upper Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 9, 2026, at the Marion General Hospital.

Onecimo was born on February 27, 1953, in Morelos, Mexico, to Nicolas Ayala and Albina Villegas. Onecimo married Estela Ayala Rivas and she survives in Upper Sandusky.

Onecimo is also survived by 8 children: Guillermina Ayala, Rigoberto Ayala, Jose Luis Ayala, Norma Isela Ayala, Adriana Ayala, Yuly Ayala, Arturo Ayala, and David Anzvres, 19 grandchildren: Dulce Ayala, Luis Ayala, Keila Ayala, Magaly Cazares, Yahaira Ayala, Lindsay Ayala, Leslie Ayala, Brandon Ayala, Jennifer Ayala, Daniel Ayala, Brenda Ayala, Stephany Ayala, Alex Ayala, Odett Ayala, Alexander Ayala, Joally Ayala, Nayelly Ayala, Jonh Ayala, and Janell Ayala, and 7 great grandchildren: Jocelin Ayala, Andrea Ayala, Coral Ayala, Camilla Ayala, Bellamy Ayala, Kaiden Ayala, and Natalia Anzurej. Onecimo is also survived by his brother Saul Ayala Villegas, and sister Mari Cruz Ayala Villegas.

Onecimo worked for Trillium Farms for many years, and he enjoyed working. He loved to sing, spend time with his dog who was like his 9th child. He was happy all of the time, and he especially loved to spend time with his family.

A funeral service for Onecimo will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, February 13, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, and will be officiated by Friar Tom Merrill, OFM Conv.

Visitations will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Friday, at the funeral home prior to the service.
