Nola J. Fry

Nola J. Fry, age 93, of rural Nevada, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Nola was born on January 25, 1932, in Crawford County, Ohio, to Clarence and Alice Irene (Frank) Edgington. She was married to Robert E. Fry on June 30, 1947, in Greenup, Kentucky, and he preceded her in death on November 15, 1993.

Nola is survived by her daughter, Linda (Billy) Fry-Campbell of Chattanooga, TN, 4 grandchildren, Mark E. Fry, Shon Fry, Andy (Farrah) Parker, Dionne (Gus) Fry-Guerra, and 5 great grandchildren.

Nola was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sons, Lonnie Robert Fry, Edward C. Fry, 2 brothers, Byron and Robert Edgington, and 2 sisters, Marie Widman, and Mildred Conant.

Nola attended school at Nevada High School and Mt. Zion High School. She worked at Millington's Plastics in Upper Sandusky from 1967 – 1981, and she was also involved at Wyandot County Council on Aging as the craft leader for 10 years. She was also a long-time member of the B n C Club, and a former Cub Scout Leader.

For hobbies, Nola enjoyed playing cards, going to casinos crocheting, quilting, needlepoint, and working on her flower gardens. Nola also loved cooking and always made sure that everyone had something to eat.

Nola always had a smile, her mission in life was to make everyone happy.

A funeral service for Nola Fry will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, and will be officiated by Rev. Tim Nilsen. Burial will follow at Nevada Cemetery.

Visitations will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Monday, at the funeral home prior to the service.
