NORTON, VA - Nellie Mae Spriggs, 79, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN. She was a former librarian with the Wynford School System in Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee Spriggs; a son, Norman Spriggs; and a daughter, Pamela Spriggs.
She is survived by her daughter, Nella Dawn Wallace and her fiancAC., Ronnie Hall of Norton, VA; 2 sons, George Spriggs of Florida and Mike Spriggs of North Carolina; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Anna Spriggs of Norton, VA and a special friend, Hope Hall of Norton, VA.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday at Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home in Norton, VA. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home chapel. Graveside committal services will be conducted 11:00 AM Sunday at the Nevada Cemetery in Nevada, OH with Don Lambert officiating. Local Arrangements are being handled by Lucas-Batton Funeral Home.
