Nanny Marilyn E. Henry, age 71, Upper Sandusky and formerly of London, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at her home in Upper Sandusky.
She was born on May 24, 1941 in London, Ohio to Elmer and Rose (French) Ramey, both of whom are deceased. She was married to Wallace Henry and he is deceased.
Surviving is a daughter Stephanie (Charles) Hamilton-Brey of Upper Sandusky and a son Wallace Dean Henry of London, along with 4 grandchildren, Brooke (Shane) Doyle, Wallace Matthew Henry, Caleb Baas, Kevin Henry and 4 great grandchildren, Easton, Haley, Jason and Lexi.
Nanny is also survived by a brother Russell "Sonny" (Geri) Ramey of Dallas, Texas, and a sister Sandy (Terry) McCarty of London
Nanny had worked as a receptionist for her daughter Stephanie's Hair Salon and before that she was a cake decorator for Kroger's in Canal Winchester.
Nanny was of Christian faith having churched in early years at the Church of Christ Christian Union in Newport, Ohio.
For hobbies she enjoyed crocheting, cooking, listening to the Gaither's and her favorite color was mint green. She loved her poodle "Smokey" and every morning she enjoyed sitting on her daughter's porch and drinking her coffee. But most of
all what was most important to Nanny was her family, who she loved dearly and the reason for her move to Upper Sandusky was to be nearer to her "grandbabies".
Funeral services for Nanny Marilyn E. Henry will be held at 3:00PM Wednesday, October 17, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with Rev. Ben Gregory officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held at on Wednesday, from 1:00PM to 3:00PM at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
