Nancy Jean Mccombs-Ulrich

Nancy Jean McCombs-Ulrich, age 63, of Upper Sandusky, unexpectedly passed away at home on Thursday, January 4, 2024.

Nancy was born on May 7, 1960, in Upper Sandusky, to Richard and Ila (Thew) McCombs.

Nancy is survived by her life partner of 25 years, Todd Ulrich in Upper Sandusky, son Eric Shackelford of Upper Sandusky, grandson Holden Nance, and many nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, brother Ron McCombs, and 2 sisters; Carol Clinger, and Karen Summit.

Nancy graduated from Upper Sandusky High School in 1978, and she then attended cosmetology school in Fostoria. She worked at Blackhawk in Upper Sandusky for several years and she raised her son Eric. More recently, Nancy was an artist and enjoyed woodburning, painting, and drawing.

Nancy loved the outdoors, spending time with Todd, going for motorcycle rides, and taking trips up to the lake. She loved animals and leaves behind her loving rottweiler Rocky. Nancy was a very caring person and she was always there for her friends and family.

A funeral service for Nancy McCombs-Ulrich will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 12, 2024, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky and will be officiated by Pastor Richard Bates. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitations will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at the funeral home.
