Nancy L. Martin

Nancy L. Martin, age 69, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio died at 1:58pm Friday, August 1, 2008 at her home.

Nancy was born on March 23, 1939 in Fostoria, Ohio to Chester F. and Louise (Potteiger) Plott, both of whom are deceased. She went on to
graduate in the top ten, from Carey High School in 1957 and was a member of the National Honor Society.

Nancy married James G. Martin on May 11, 1991 in Upper Sandusky and he survives. She was previously married to Bernard King, who is deceased, and Wade Sublett.

Surviving Nancy are two sons: Michael J. King and Charles F. King both of Upper Sandusky, three daughters: Debra A. King, Barbara L. (James), and Angela I. Mowery all of Upper Sandusky. Seven grandchildren also survive: Ashley Karg, Michael King, Jr., Garrett M. Karg, Megan R. Kessler, Colleen A. Mowrey, Nathan L. Davidson, Alicia D. Mowrey and a great granddaughter, Louisa. A brother: Bobby (Barb) Plott of McCutchenville, Ohio, two sisters: Patricia Ann (George) Lasley of Findlay, Ohio, and Marlene Quail of Carey, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, James F. and Charles E. Plott.

She worked at Audsam Printing in Marion, Ohio. Before that she had worked at Willson's Grocery in Upper Sandusky and was one of the first employees at McDonalds in Upper Sandusky,

Nancy was a member of John Stewart United Methodist Church and of the Amvets #777. She enjoyed playing slot machines, bird watching, and all wildlife, fishing, jigsaw puzzles, and going to horse shows. Nancy traveled frequently to Yellowstone National Park and loved her chocolate lab, Samantha.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30pm on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with the Rev. Ben Gregory officiating the services.

Friends may come to call on Tuesday August 5th from 2pm-4pm & 6pm -8pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
