Nancy M. Heinlen, age 74, of Bucyrus, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 11:49pm at the Bucyrus Community Hospital.
Nancy was born on August 2, 1948 in Bucyrus, Ohio, to Richard and Phyllis (Bantzhaff) Oberlander, both of whom are deceased, along with her step mother, Clara (Bantzhaff) Maples Oberlander. She married Charles E. Heinlen on May 18, 1968 at the Lykens E.U.B. Church and he survives.
She is survived by her 3 daughters, Valorie (Joseph) Dale, Christy (Doug) Beggs, and Michele (Jay) Fisher, all of Alliance, Ohio. 7 grandchildren, Savannah Dale, Sierra (Dylan) Milhoan, Madison Beggs, Jordan Beggs, and Caleb Beggs, Hannah Fisher, and Cassidy (Alex) Norr.
Nancy is also survived by her siblings, Doris (Dale) Bloomfield of Bucyrus, Vivian Shumaker of Galion, Connie Seville of Bucyrus, Suzanne Burkhart of Bloomville, Paula (Mike) Ridgeway of Sandusky, and Sidney (Nancy) Maples of Sycamore, and brother in law, Don (Linda) Heinlen of Bucyrus.
She was a 1966 graduate of Wynford High School and after her marriage to Charles, she was a homemaker and later worked for 20 years with the Crawford County Council on Aging in Bucyrus as a driver.
Nancy loved the Lord with her whole heart, and was a member of Trinity Evangelical Church in Upper Sandusky, and a former member of the Woodlawn United Methodist Church in Bucyrus, where she was active in the bell choir and as a Sunday School teacher.
For hobbies, Nancy enjoyed playing board games with her grandchildren, doing crossword puzzles, playing Words with Friends, listening to music, going to Bible studies, and following the OSU Buckeyes, especially in basketball.
Funeral arrangements for Nancy M. Heinlen will be held at 12:00 pm Friday, January 6, 2023 at the Trinity Evangelical Church in Upper Sandusky, with Rev. Jim Stauffer officiating. Burial will take place at Brokensword Cemetery.
Visitations will be held on Friday, January 6, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Trinity Church in Upper Sandusky.
