Myron V. King

Myron V. King, age 80, of Upper Sandusky and formerly of Nevada, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, July 31 at 3:11am at his home in Upper Sandusky.

Myron was born on September 28, 1929 in Nevada, Ohio to Arthur "Ott" and Mary (Keltner) King, both of whom are deceased. He married Alice Mosman on March 7, 1954 in the Eden Chapel in rural Nevada and she survives.

Also surviving are 2 sons, Daniel (Linda) King of Nevada, Douglas King of Upper Sandusky and a daughter Tamara Groves of Upper Sandusky. 3 grandchildren, Jeremy (Jennifer) King of Nevada, Alex King of Toledo, Elizabeth Groves of Upper Sandusky and and a great grandchildren Jade King . A sister, Marjorie Collene of Bucyrus also survives along with a sister in law Evelyn King of Bucyrus and many nieces and nephews.

Myron was preceded in death by a grandson, Eric King, and brothers, Clayton and Paul King.

Myron retired after 36 years with the Timken Co. in Bucyrus in the general maintenance department.

He was a lifelong member of the Nevada Lutheran Church where he served at various times on the church council. He was a past member of the Nevada Lions Club serving as past president and zone chairman. He was a 50 year member of the
Nevada Masonic Lodge and a former member of the K of P Lodge also in Nevada.

Myron graduated from Nevada High School in 1947 and for hobbies enjoyed traveling, woodworking, especially building birdhouses, fishing and helping out on the farm.

Funeral services for Myron V. King will be held at 11:00am Thursday, August 5, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Nevada with Gene Luidhardt, SAM, officiating. Burial will follow in Nevada Cemetery.

Visitations will be held on Wednesday, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Nevada. Memorial contributions may be made to the Nevada Lutheran Church, Hospice of Wyandot County or a charity of the donor's choice and can be sent to Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 401 S.
