Mildred I. "Dilly" Conant

Mildred I. "Dilly" Conant, age 82 of Upper Sandusky, and formerly of Nevada, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2011 at 12:46pm in the Emergency Room at Wyandot Memorial Hospital in Upper Sandusky.

Mildred was born on October 12, 1928 in Nevada, Ohio to Clarence and Alice (Frank) Edgington both of whom are deceased. She married Richard Houk and they were divorced and she then married David Conant on December 14, 1972 in Upper Sandusky and he passed away on August 11, 2001.

Survivng Mildred are three daughters, Cheryl (Gary) Basore of Morral, Ohio, Diana Forman of Nevada, and Sandra Hayes of Morral, three step children, David Conant Jr. of Tampa, Florida, Steven Conant of Butler, Ohio, and Elaine Posey of Encinitas, California, five grandchildren, five step grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Also surviving Mildred is a brother, Byron (Nancy) Edgington of Bucyrus, Ohio, and two sisters, Marie Widman and Nola Fry both of Upper Sandusky.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Robert Edgington and son in laws Sonny Forman and Rik Hayes.

Mildred was a member of the Nevada Lutheran Church, the Senior Citizens Center, a member of the former B & C Card Club in Nevada, and the senior Girl Scouts. For hobbies she enjoyed making crafts, puzzle books, electronic yatzee, Farfle, watching HGTV, following the lottery and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mildred Conant will be held at 11:00am on Friday, July 15, 2011 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with the Rev. Matt Garrabrant officiating the service. Burial will follow at the Nevada Cemetery in Nevada.

Visitations will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2011 from 2pm - 4pm and 6pm - 8pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sanduksy.
