Mildred "Mert" B. Amole

Mildred "Mert" B. Amole, age 101, of Bucyrus and formerly of the Village of Wyandot,
passed away Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 9:15pm at Heartland of Bucyrus.

Mert was born on May 28, 1909 in Benton, Ohio to Floyd and Margaret (Keller) Jury, both of whom are deceased.

She is survived by 3 grandchildren, 4 generations of nieces and nephews and it was Mert's desire that in her obituary that some special people be recognized for their
friendship and care giving and that being friends Kevin Bryden and Chet and Sally Pfiefer, her great niece
Leeann Grau and her fiance Jeremy Ray, and nephew Karl and his wife Bonnie Grau.

Mert was preceded by a son Dale Kear, 3 brothers, Robert "Bob" Jury, Kenneth "Kelly" Jury and Sheridan "Bid" Jury and 2 sisters, Avonelle "Nellie" Grau and Hylas "Polly" Turney.


She was a homemaker and along with her brother Kelly owned and operated the
Chat-N-Chew restaurant in Forest, Ohio. Mert was known for her excellent pies, for her love of quilting, knitting and sewing which she continued to do until last year. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards, especially euchre. And finally Mert will be remembered in many ways, some being her competitive nature when it came to cards and
her love of laughter and a good practical joke.


Funeral Services for Mildred "Mert" B. Amole will be held at 11:00am Thursday, August 26, 2010 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Nevada with the Rev. Bernard France officiating. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery, in Brush Ridge.


Visitations will be held Wednesday, August 25, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and 1 hour prior to service time on Thursday at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Nevada.
