Michael K. Mckee

Mike passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 24, 2025, in Upper Sandusky.

He was born on February 3, 1948, in Bucyrus, Ohio, to Kenneth and Nyla Jane (Kissling) McKee, both parents are deceased.

After graduating from Upper Sandusky High school in 1966, he went to work at Whirlpool Corp. in Marion and retired in 2009. He was also a high school baseball and softball umpire. After retirement he volunteered for Wyandot Cares, Upward Sports, Open Door Resource Center, and the Salvation Army. The Rotary Club honored him with the "Service Above Self" award for his volunteer work. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Church.

He is survived by his wife Jennifer (nee Adelsperger), daughters Jacqueline McKee (Husband Robert Haussler) and Jennifer (Mark) Shoaf, step children Lindsey (Joe) Lewis, Lorraine (Joel) Zaenger, and Darby (Caroline) Walton, brothers Steven McKee, Robert (Bonnie) McKee, and sisters Julianne (Chuck) Laudenslager, Ila (Dan) Lynch, Paula (Ken) LeBrum, and Lela Sanders, and step mother Georgianna Holzwart. He had 4 grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

A funeral service for Mike McKee will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Trinity Evangelical Church in Upper Sandusky, and will be officiated by Rev. Jim Stauffer and Pastor Steve Sturgeon.

Visitations will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 pm on Monday, July 28, 2025, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
