Michael Eugene Harper, age 60, most recently of Upper Sandusky and formerly of Mansfield, passed away on Friday, December 24, at the Fairhaven Home in Upper Sandusky, after a 3 year battle with liver cancer.
He was born to Mervin Harper and Phyllis Johnson-Bowden, both of whom are deceased. He was once married to Sandra Jacobs and she survives in Upper Sandusky.
Michael is survived by a daughters, Deidri Harper and her son Ethan Steele of Upper Sandusky, daughter Jane Harper-Miller of Virginia, and daughter Stacey Harper and her children, of Arlington, Ohio and her children Keith Stansbery and Mallory Thiel, both at home, Michelle Rickert-Melgar of Lubbock Texas and her children Jackson and Tyler Wilson, both at home. Also surviving is a sister Sandy Converse of Cincinnatti, Ohio.
And was preceded in death by a daughter Loni Harper.
Michael was retired having spent most of his life in Mansfield. He was a member of First Assembly of God in Mansfield and attended Mansfield Senior High. For hobbies he enjoyed rideing and working on motorcycles, helping his church, traveling and spending time with his family especially his grandkids.
A private family service was held on Christmas Eve at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home with the Pastor Thomas Blair from First Assembly officiating.
