Michael D. Grove

Michael D. Grove, age 64, of Wharton, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at the Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Upper Sandusky.

Mike was born on August 25, 1960 in Upper Sandusky to David J. and Sharon O. "Sherry" (Slemmer) Grove.  His father, David, is living in Upper Sandusky, and his mother, Sherry, preceded him in death.  Mike married Cindi Main on October 9, 1992 in Nashville, North Carolina, and she survives.

He is also survived by his children: Quinn (Ben) Nielsen of Tiffin, Olivia (Kevin) Markward of Delphos, Jacob Grove of Tiffin, and Stephanie Grove of Texas. Along with  3 grandchildren, Lilly Nielsen, Lincoln Markward, and Ally Grove.

Mike is also survived by his sister, Dana (Tony) Rife of Carey.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sherry Grove, and a brother, Telo Grove.

Mike was a machinist/welder and had worked for 25 years for Kirby Corporation in Chesapeake, Virginia, and most recently for Teijin Automotive Technologies in Upper Sandusky.

He was a 1979 graduate of Mohawk High School where he participated in football and wrestling.

Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding 4-wheelers, cooking, horse shoses,  and playing euchre. He was very much a handyman, and he used his skills fixing anything and everything, along with creating various metal apparatuses.

Funeral services for Mike Grove will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, February 23, 2025, at the Lucas Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with Pastor Steve Miller officiating.

Visitations will be held 2 hours before service time, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, at the funeral home on Sunday.
