Melvin O. Gubernath

Melvin O. Gubernath, age 81, of Nevada, Ohio, passed away on December 28, 2020 at his home in Nevada.

Melvin was born on August 8, 1939, in Crawford County, Ohio to Wilson Edward and Esther (Stauffer) Gubernath, both of whom are deceased.

He is survived by a sister, Marilyn (Clarence "Cricket") Elsten of Lapel, Indiana. Nephews and Nieces: Jimmy Cole, Melvin Cole, Dave Cole, Bryan Cole, Carol Cole, Larry Green, JR Green, and Barbara Mott.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Carolyn Cole.

Melvin was retired after 20 years as a custodian for Marion City Schools.

He served in the US Army and for hobbies, he enjoyed learning about military history, going to tractor pulls, shooting, and going also to farmers markets.

Graveside services for Melvin Gubernath will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, January 4, 2021, at Union Cemetery, Sulphur Springs.
