Max J. Corbin, age 89, of Wharton, Ohio, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 11:30am at Bridge Hospice in Findlay, Ohio.
Max was born on September 13, 1926 in Hancock County, Ohio to Alva P. and Ruby C. (Kennedy) Corbin, both of whom are deceased. He married Martha Beidelschies on November 21, 1954 at the Wharton Church of God and she passed away on February 18, 2015.
Surviving are 2 children, Carol Corbin and John (Stacy) Corbin, both of Wharton, and 3 grandchildren, Maximilian Corbin, John William Corbin and Camille Corbin. A sister Maxine Eatherton of Columbia City, Indiana.
Max was a 2nd generation farmer and he also owned and operated his dairy business for 46 years.
He was a member of the Wharton First Church of God, and a 1944 graduate of Wharton High School. Max went on to serve his country in the US Army.
For hobbies Max enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting, reading especially about military history, along with enjoyed vacationing with his family in Detour, Michigan.
Funeral services for Max Corbin will be held at 11:00am Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with Pastor David Odegard officiating. Burial will follow at Wharton-Richland-Union Cemetery, where a military gravesite right will be conducted by the Upper Sandusky Veterans Color Guard.
Visitations will be held 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home
In Upper Sandusky.
