Mary Jane Waggy

Mary Jane Waggy, age 72, of Harpster, Ohio passed away on Friday, December 07, 2012 at 6:55PM at the Wyandot Memorial Hospital in Upper Sandusky.

Mary Jane was born on December 16, 1939 in Marion, Ohio to Robert and Thelma (Bell) Haner, both of whom are deceased. She married Howard Waggy on June 15, 1957 at the Harpster United Methodist Church and he survives.

She is also survived by a son Steve (Corrina) Waggy of Upper Sandusky, and 2
daughters, Suzi (Jim) Severns of Wharton and Jodi (Scotty) Robinson of Harpster.
Along with 9 grandchildren, Nick and Dylan Waggy, Steven, Zachary and Tyler Kincade, Chris and Hunter Severns and Cameron and Cole Crawford, and a sister Virginia Sayre of Upper Sandusky.

She was preceded in death by a brother Jerry Haner and a sister Marjorie McKinstry

Mary Jane was a homemaker and also worked at the former Ben Franklin Store in Upper Sandusky in the fabric department. She also operated out of her home in Harpster, The Village Antiques and The Red Barn Fabrics.

She was a life long member of the Harpster United Methodist Church where she was active with helping with the senior dinners, vacation bible school and teaching Sunday School.

Mary Jane enjoyed sewing, flower and vegetable gardening, canning along with collecting antiques and going to flea markets.

She was a devoted wife, mom and grandma who was dedicated to attending her grandchildren's various events. She will be greatly missed.

Funeral services for Mary Jane Waggy will be held at 11:00AM Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Harpster United Methodist Church in Harpster with Rev. Soo Hea Park officiating. Burial will follow in Little Sandusky Cemetery.

Visitations will be held on Wednesday, from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky and 1 hour before service time at the church on Thurday.
