Mary E. Sheets

Mary E. Sheets, of Upper Sandusky, died at 7:52 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 at Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Upper Sandusky. She was 60.
Born April 7, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Clifford L. and Vera M. (Kahley) Pever. She married Randall L. Sheets on Oct. 5, 1970 in Wharton and he survives in Upper Sandusky.
Mrs. Sheets also is survived by three children, Larry (Tammy) Sheets, Bloomville; Terry (Nicole) Sheets, Sycamore; and Shauna (Allen) Schwilk, Upper Sandusky; nine grandchildren, Robert, Shellie, Alexis, Allyssa, Madison, Emily, Bryce, Abigail and Bailey; and six siblings, Marilyn Blair, Upper Sandusky; Karen Saniel-Banrey, Columbus; Donald Pever, Portland, Ore.; Kenneth (Gwen) Pever, Bucyrus; Patricia (Erik) Kimbrough, Columbus; and Deborah Snyder, Upper Sandusky.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy Pever.
A 1970 graduate of Riverdale High School, Mrs. Sheets was a homemaker and manager of Gas America in Upper Sandusky for 16 years. She retired in 2008.
She enjoyed camping, sewing and doing needlepoint. Mrs. Sheets loved her beagle dog, Punky.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky, with the Rev. Tim Grimes officiating. Burial will follow at Wharton-Richland-Union Cemetery near Wharton. Visitation will be held from 12-2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
