Mary (Campbell) Rea

Mary E. Rea, age 108, of Marion, Brush Ridge, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Westbrook Assisted Living and Memory Care, Upper Sandusky.

Mary was born on March 10, 1917, in Brush Ridge to Edgar and Elizabeth (Loudenslager) Campbell.  She married Robert W. Rea on June 28, 1942, in Wheatland, Wyoming, and he passed away on July 3, 1990.

She is survived by a son, Steven Rea of rural Marion, 2 granddaughters, Samantha (Aaron) Dabbs, and Sarina Schlossberg, and 6 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Clifford Campbell, and daughter in law, Linda Rea.

Mary retired as an LPN and doctor's assistance to Doctors Robert Gettman and Richard Mills, at the Smith Clinic in Marion.

She was an active member of the Grand Prairie Baptist Church as well as several clubs and organizations through the years.

Services for Mary E. Rea will be held at 11:00am Saturday, July 5, at Grand Prairie Baptist Church, with Pastor Edwin Goodwin officiating.  Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery.

Visitations for Mary will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Lucas Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, and 1 hour before service time on Saturday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Grand Prairie Baptist Church, or a charity of the donor's choice and can be sent to Lucas Batton Funeral Home, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio, 43351.
