Mary Jane Moore

Mary Jane Moore, age 76, of Bucyrus and formerly of Upper Sandusky and McCutchenville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 11:43am at the Bucyrus Community Hospital.

She was born on February 26, 1937 in Jewell Ridge, Virginia to Harry and Ruth (Fields) Mustard, both of whom are deceased. She married Basil L. Moore on April 27, 1956 in Bucyrus, and he died on December 27, 2003.

Mary Jane is survived by a son, Randy (Sally) Moore of Upper Sandusky, and 2 daughters, Darlene (Mark) Levering of Upper Sandusky, Linda (Doug) Bickham of Boydton, Virginia. Along with 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and a sister Barbara Downard of Bucyrus.

She was preceded in death by parents, husband, a daughter Jeanne Messmer and a grandson, Luke Levering, and a sister Peggy Smith.

Mary Jane was a private duty provider of care to the elderly which she did for many years. She along with her husband, owned and operated the former Moore's Nursing Home in Upper Sandusky.

For hobbies, she loved to camp and play bingo and her greatest love was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Graveside services for Mary Jane Moore will be held at 11:00am Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the Rowland Cemetery, located in rural Upper Sandusky.

There will be no public visitation.
