Mary Jane Koehler, age 89, of Upper Sandusky and most recently of
Matlock, Texas passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at 11:25am
at the Methodist Mansfield Medical Center of Mansfield Texas.
Mary Jane was born on April 15, 1921 in _Mt Blanchard, Ohio to Francis and Daisy (Waltemeyer) Eatherton, both of whom are deceased.
She married Gilbert L. Koehler on July 3, 1942 in Ashland, Kentucky and he died August 29, 1998.
She is survived by a son, Michael (Linda) Koehler of Maineville, Ohio, and 2 daughters, Cheryl Koehler of Bowie, Maryland and Michelle (Allen) Hatfield of Mansfield, Texas. Along with 3 grandsons, Brandon Koehler, Matthew Hatfield and Andrew Hatfield and 6 great grandchildren, Kaylor Hatfield, Chloe Hatfield, Ayla Hatfield, Hudson Hatfield, Madison Koehler and Hayden Koehler.
Mary Jane was preceded in death by a brother Lloyd Eatherton, and 2 sisters Evelyn LaRowe and Dody Taylor.
Mary Jane was a homemaker and also worked at Westinghouse in the 60's.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Upper Sandusky for 47 years. She was a member and past worthy matron of the Warpole Chapter #366 O.E.S. in Upper Sandusky. For hobbies Mary Jane enjoyed knitting, crosswords and Sudoku.
Funeral Services for Mary Jane Koehler will be held at 1:00pm Friday, April 15, 2011 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with the Rev. Jerrod Schaff officiating. Burial will follow at Old Mission Cemetery in Upper Sandusky.
Visitations will be held 2 hours before service time, 11:00am to 1:00pm, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with an Eastern Star Memorial Service at 11:00am.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or the charity of the donors choice and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
