Mary Ellen Kennedy

Mary Ellen Kennedy, age 80 of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, and formerly of Genoa passed away on Monday, December 28, 2015, at 9:30am, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

She was born on July 27, 1935 in Toledo, Ohio, to Theodore and Olga (Gautz) Kennedy, both of whom have passed away.

Mary Ellen is survived by her siblings, Donald Kennedy of Swanton, Ohio, Jean Kennedy of Genoa, Ohio, John L. (Phyllis) Kennedy of Loveland, Colorado, Carolyn (Earl) Klaege of Sumter, South Carolina, and David (Marlene) Kennedy of Upper Sandusky. Along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a 2 brothers, Glenn Kennedy, Theodore Kennedy, Jr., and a sister, Lea Heinz.

Mary Ellen was a homemaker and a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Upper Sandusky. She was also at one time a member of the Genoa and Salem Grange.

For hobbies, she enjoyed, crocheting, flower arranging, going to yard sales, and pedaling throughout Upper Sandusky with her three wheeled bike.

Funeral services for Mary Ellen Kennedy will be held at 10:00am Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with Rev. Brad McKibben officiating. Burial will be held at Chestnut Cemetery, Bradner, Ohio.

Visitations will be held on Wednesday, December 30, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
